Sulfur Pit Sweep Air Contro-Trace DESIGN

ADVANTIV designed the steam/condensate distribution headers and manifolds. The SRU sulfur pit sweep air header venting to the boiler for incineration needed to be maintained at a minimum of 260 deg. F to prevent the vapor from becoming solid and plugging the line. The selected technology for heating the line was Controls Southeast Inc. (CSI) ControTrace technology. ControTrace circuit modeling was done, thermal heat transfer in BTUs is achieved though specific installation methods. Testing of each circuit after installation was done to ensure the heating levels required were achieved.
